I had an interesting conversation with a designer last week; we discussed the changes in your businesses and what decisions are required at different times.
How does one know?
Business changes all the time, some seasons (be it years, or months) are good, and some not so much. The question we always need to ask ourselves is this: should we stay put, wait and hope for the best, or should we pivot, make moves, and changes? Or, should we let go? These questions are hard.
If you’re anything like me, your business is your baby. You gave birth to it, you have loved and nurtured it, it drives you nutcase, but what separates you from the others; you know those who never had the guts to start their businesses, is that you get up and do the job, regardless. Like parenting, if you ask me!
So what to do when things don’t look so great and furthermore; how long should you wait for the better days to arrive?
I believe we generally have following options:
1) stay put. No changes in the input will result in no changes in the output. You know, doing the same thing you have done for years, but expecting a different result is.. well, dumb.
How about you? What brave decisions have you made lately? How did they change the outcome? I’d love to know!
